Read MoreIf you know me, you know I’m an NPR gal. When I’m not listening to a podcast in the car, I’m listening to my local station, KJZZ. So I was THRILLED (and terrified) when The Show’s executive producer, Amy Silverman, asked if I wanted to go on air to talk about my documentary family work. You guys, I was so nervous! But it was such an amazing opportunity to talk about why I’m so passionate about Documentary Family Photography, why I think it’s important, and why it’s for every family!
Read MoreThis Year in the Life family always does the most fun things, and they wanted to capture their race around the island before they were too big for these little cars. Totally reminded me of MarioKart, which my boys are obsessed with! Whose kid hasn’t done this?! We used to have not one, but two Cozy Coupes, and I already miss seeing my boys in them. Document these moments, friends!

Read MoreThis Year in the Life family continues to gift me with beautiful moments. They had family surprise them with a visit, so an Ethiopian feast was in order. Grandma made delicious food, and roasted Ethiopian coffee. The aromas, the food and the traditions were all so gorgeous, thank you for asking me to document it all! I truly can’t wait each month for our session to come.
Read MoreNo posing and no scripting means your family just gets to be your truly, authentically you! How many times have you caught a glimpse of your little one clutching their favorite stuffed animal, hair a fuzzy mess, thumb in their adorable little mouth. Wouldn’t a real picture, a tangible memory, of that moment be better than just a picture in your mind’s eye?
Read MoreNew in 2023… Year in the Life Photo Sessions! I’ve wanted to offer this for a long time now. You like the idea of a Day in the Life Session? Let’s amp it up and document an entire year! Have you ever looked back at photos of your babes from just a year ago and thought the amount they’ve changed is unbelievable? Little ones especially go from tiny and precious to full-blown toddler and precocious in an instant.
Read MoreOh my gosh this was SO much fun! Mom was the genius behind this one. It was a documentary shoot just for the kids, and she executed her ideas flawlessly. The kids (cousins!) got to do all the things of your childhood memories; water balloon fight, bomb pops, watermelon, what more could you want?! Documenting core memories like these brings me so much joy. I know the kids will look at these images when they’re grown and actually remember this fun afternoon. Amazing.
Read MoreThis beautiful family welcomed their new bundle of joy with an in-home newborn photography session. I adore doing these. One, they’re relaxed and easy, and we’re able to allow baby to be. Two, you get to see the personality of the family, and how life with a newborn really is. And three, they’re so much fun! I hope these were especially meaningful for this family, as they moved to a new home soon after our session. I’m so glad they have these images to help remember the place where they brought both babies home for the first time.

Read MoreThis baby is my cousin Mel’s little boy. He is THE CUTEST!!!! And I’m not just saying that because he wears glasses like me. After he got used to the camera and stopped waving hi, we had a great time capturing moments in their home, doing some of Cam’s favorite things. I love documenting everyday moments that make the most meaningful memories. A documentary family session is the best way to really capture those moments!

When you’re a kid, summer time is magical. Let me capture it, to make tangible memories for the future for you AND your kids.
