This sweet lifestyle family portrait session took place at one of the most beautiful spots in the city, the Desert Botanical Garden. We wandered the paths, letting Claire lead the way, stopping to play and take pictures. This is the essence of a relaxed Lifestyle Session. We let the kids be kids, and still get just enough posed shots to go along with my favorites, the candids. It’s the best of both worlds!
We’ve had a lot of big changes in the McNamara house lately, one of those changes being a new house. We moved! We headed up north just a little bit, and traded our much-loved, 1300 sqft house for something more spacious. The main reason for wanting more room was our other big change, a new addition to the family! Henry James joined us on January 8th. He’s already six weeks old, and is a great baby. Better yet, Ollie is an amazing big brother, and only feels like he’s not getting enough attention some of the time. He’s such a trooper, and is so very sweet to his little brother. They’re four years and four days apart in age. Another fun fact, Ollie’s birthday is 1.4.14. Henry’s is 1.8.18. I swear we didn’t plan it, but I love the numerical serendipity of it all. I’ve been trying to document our first days together, but thinking of picking up a real camera can sometimes get lost in the busy slowness that is the first months with a new baby. But capturing these memories is so important, as they really, truly do grow so quickly.
I had the most lovely morning with the Giannangelo family during our Holiday Traditions photo session. They wore their Christmas jammies, decorated their gorgeous tree and baked holiday cookies. I do all of these things with my family, and would so love to have a day like this documented. It was a relaxed, easy morning, but the memories we captured were truly a priceless reflection of the traditions that make a family holiday meaningful. Do you have any special traditions in your family? Let;s talk about about booking your session!
I spent a lovely morning with Claire and Maya, making pancakes and riding bikes to La Grande Orange for a sweet treat. Maya is such a little free spirit: it was a joy to spend time with her and her mama. Thanks ladies!
This adorable little family is going to grow by one kiddo very soon, and they wanted to document daily life with Victor before he became a big brother! We spent the morning reading books, playing with toys, feeding the pups and playing outside with bubbles and their chickens. We had so much fun! Good luck Teahans, and I can’t wait to meet your new addition!
