We moved recently. It was part of the do-all-the-things-at-once whirlwind of a new year we had. New house, new baby, why not! We really lucked into an amazing street, and have become fast friends with an awesome group of neighbors. Lots of kids, lots of hanging out on driveways, lots of wine and laughs. We’re so lucky. The Paynes are part of this group, and we are so happy to call them friends and neighbors. We popped over to Granada park for a fun Lifestyle Session and let the kids lead the way as we explored the park, stopping to take pictures in all the best spots. We had so much fun! Thanks guys for the great session, and for being a part of our lives! Also, if you need a mortgage, Jackie is your gal!
Little Juliet is just about to turn one, so we had a sweet Mommy and Me Mini Session to celebrate. It’s the perfect way to capture all the special memories you make at home with your baby each and every day. Looking back at all the photos I have of my baby (who is now four!!) the ones I treasure most are the most reflective of how we spent our simple days together. Get in touch to book your Mommy and Me Session!
This sweet lifestyle family portrait session took place at one of the most beautiful spots in the city, the Desert Botanical Garden. We wandered the paths, letting Claire lead the way, stopping to play and take pictures. This is the essence of a relaxed Lifestyle Session. We let the kids be kids, and still get just enough posed shots to go along with my favorites, the candids. It’s the best of both worlds!
We’ve had a lot of big changes in the McNamara house lately, one of those changes being a new house. We moved! We headed up north just a little bit, and traded our much-loved, 1300 sqft house for something more spacious. The main reason for wanting more room was our other big change, a new addition to the family! Henry James joined us on January 8th. He’s already six weeks old, and is a great baby. Better yet, Ollie is an amazing big brother, and only feels like he’s not getting enough attention some of the time. He’s such a trooper, and is so very sweet to his little brother. They’re four years and four days apart in age. Another fun fact, Ollie’s birthday is 1.4.14. Henry’s is 1.8.18. I swear we didn’t plan it, but I love the numerical serendipity of it all. I’ve been trying to document our first days together, but thinking of picking up a real camera can sometimes get lost in the busy slowness that is the first months with a new baby. But capturing these memories is so important, as they really, truly do grow so quickly.
