What a beautiful family this is. I spent a recent Saturday morning with them, while they had breakfast, rode bikes in the cul-de-sac (with a stunning view!), went for a hike and swam in their grandma and grandpa’s pool. They were a treat to hang out with, I truly had a blast! This is just a little sneak peek from our documentary family session. Please come back to see the rest!
Long ago, back when I worked at the Arizona Republic, my friend and coworker, Audrey, on more than one occasion told me “when I get married, you are going to be my wedding photographer.” Five years later, and Saturday found us on the top of a little mountain making some damn stunning wedding photos. Congratulations Audrey and Ron! Here’s just a little sneak peek. I had such a hard time not sharing ALL OF THEM. Such a gorgeous couple!
This darling family comes to stay at the Four Seasons every winter, to escape the frigid winters of Chicago. I’ve photographed their sweet family three times now, and I was so excited to meet Ari, their newest addition! Harper is a great big sister, and we had a blast. Thanks guys, looking forward to next year!
You guys, one of my absolute favorite people had a baby, and he is damn cute. Meet Hank Wilder (isn’t his name dreamy?!). I got to spend time with Hank and his parents as we documented a day with a newborn. I’ve gotta say, it might have made me miss the newborn phase a little bit. There may have been tears (mine, not Hank’s) while I got my baby snuggles. Seriously. I have a problem. Mom hormones, am I right?
This lady. I don’t think she really needs in introduction, I’ve been photographing her and her work for so long now, you’re probably sick of her. Kidding, that could never happen. Carrie Bloomston is so amazing, if Hillary weren’t running for president, I might write Carrie in. The world could really benefit from her kindness, passion and compassion. I wish I could see the world the way she does, so full of vibrancy and creativity and art.
Carrie’s new Dreamer fabric line for Windham Fabrics is simply stunning, and will be available early next year. You can see more and read all about it in the look book. My favorite fabric in the line is a very special print of hand-painted bees. From Carrie:
“Bees are threatened and we can’t exist without them. The bees need us and we need them. Join me and Windham Fabrics to spread the buzz and BEE THE CHANGE! (Windham Fabrics and I are proud supporters of the Xerces Society for Pollinator Conservation. Read more here to find out what you and your family can do to save the bees and protect the pollinators.”
I am so thankful that you keep asking me back to photograph your work, Carrie. You truly inspire me, and I love you!!
